Gears of War 4 releasing worldwide October 11th 2016; Details revealed

Microsoft have today announced that Gears of War 4 is heading to stores this fall in addition to the beta start date.

Microsoft have revealed that Gears fans can rev up their lancers and get themselves excited for the upcoming entry in the Gears series; Gears of War 4 as today; they have revealed that the latest entry in the series is set to launch this year and will be hitting store shelves worldwide on October 11th 2016. In addition to this, Microsoft and The Coalition also confirmed today that Gears of War 4 would feature split screen in all modes accessible in the game.


Fans eager to jump into the Gears 4 action will also be very happy to hear that the multiplayer beta for Gears of War 4 will be available from this month with the beta kicking off for fans who played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for either Xbox One or Windows 10 on April 18th. The beta will then extend to all Xbox Live Gold Members on April 25th.

The official cover art for Gears of War 4 was also revealed today via Entertainment Weekly which can be seen below.


Gears of War 4 takes place 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3 and sees the loss of fossil fuels after the events of Gears 3 forcing humanity to adapt to new ways for survival. The game will focus on the character of JD Fenix (The son of the series protagonist; Marcus Fenix) who alongside his friends Delmont “Del” Walker and Kait Diaz set out to deal with a new threat that could threaten humanity’s survival.

Gears of War 4 will be released worldwide on Xbox One on October 11th 2016.
