Rumor: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess set for 3DS port

A Recent rumor has appeared online that may suggest that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess may be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS.

The recent rumor which recently appeared on website; Nintendo Enthusiast seems to suggest that the well loved Zelda title could be making it’s way to the 3DS after a 3DS user received a weird streetpass which showcases the title as “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 3D”. Check out the image of the odd streetpass below.

While it would certainly be surprising; It’s also worth mentioning that should this rumor be true, this will not be the only Wii title to be ported to Nintendo’s 3D handheld with successful Wii RPG title; Xenoblade Chronicles recently making the jump exclusively to the New Nintendo 3DS and so far it has been receiving rave reviews.

For those that do not know; The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess released with the Wii in November 2006 as a launch title and followed Link one century after the events of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask in which he gets pulled by a Shadow Beast into Twilight where he becomes a Wolf and is imprisoned. Here he meets Midna; An imp like creature with whom he sets out to save the day by restoring the light spirits.

As of right now; All of this is merely a rumor so you must take it with a grain of salt however we will reach out to Nintendo for clarification and see if they can comment however until they announce anything officially this is nothing but a rumor. In the meantime check out a trailer for Twilight Princess below.
