Bloodborne PS4 Bundles coming to Europe; Chalice Dungeons Explained

Sony has confirmed that the Bloodborne PlayStation 4 bundle will also be coming out in Europe and will not be a Japan-only deal, as previously thought

The bundle will come with a Black PlayStation 4 console, a Black DualShock 4 controller, and a copy of Bloodborne, the bundle will be available for purchase through a wide variety of retailers, and pre-orders for the package have now been made available.

To add onto this, Sony have published a brand new video detailing some of the grisly adventures that await. The video is in Japanese but does come with English subtitles, so you’ll be able to follow along just fine.

The game takes place in the fictional city of Yharnam, said to be holding a miraculous cure for all ailments, and being a popular target for pilgrims afflicted with various maladies. You are one such mysterious traveler, seeking to undo a curse with the aforementioned cure, only to find that the city has been overrun by a nefarious contagion.

The video takes a closer look at the Chalice Dungeon features unveiled during December last year, a randomized dungeon with ever-shifting walls, providing a constant challenge for brave adventurers. They are underground ruins, found beneath the city of Yharnam.

The dungeon is meant to offer gamers a wide variety of replayable content and challenges, a new place to explore and figure out with each run.

The Chalice Dungeons will mainly focus on online interaction, allowing players to interact with each other in a novel way. From Software’s previous games, Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls, had a sort of loose multiplayer system where players could leave messages and invade other gamers sessions as well as help them overcome bosses, however it seems Bloodborne may be looking to expand upon that even further.

Bloodborne will feature a similar system that enables players to send each other messages, which will bring about a more broadened community around the game.

Bloodborne is set to come out sometime at the end of March
