Hey guys, Jonnie from UGNN here doing something a little different to what I usually do, I’m gonna be listing what my favorite games of all time are and ordering them from 1-10, so without further ado, lets get started.
If you’re looking for a FPS game oozing with atmosphere, that also has a wonderful world and story, then look no further than Metro Last Light, with the Redux release now on PS4 and XBONE, there is no better time than now to experience this work of art.
Dark Souls has become one of those games that has received a bit of video game infamy for it’s relentless difficulty, however if you can overcome this difficulty curve, you’ll find one of the most deep and fantastic RPG’s ever to be released.
Before there was God of War or Bayonetta, there was Devil May Cry, and the 3rd installment is by far the best in the series, it takes the fast and challenging gameplay of the first and triples it, adding in new styles to allow you to choose new fighting choices and telling a tale of brothers at war, this game really should be experienced for fans of the Hack n Slash genre.
Before the ridiculous amount of sequels, there was Kingdom Hearts, a story about a boy trying to find his friends while battling the forces of the heartless, Kingdom Hearts made a huge impact, despite the huge skepticism of Disney combined with Final Fantasy, of course surprising everyone by showing how well those series went together, Kingdom Hearts is a pretty hard series to invest into now, however this game on it’s own is one of the finest RPG’s around.
Very few series tell a story like Metal Gear, the 3rd game in the series seems to pay tribute to James Bond, adding in a camouflage system for the first time in the series, also having to survive the wilderness and hunting for food, personally this is the best game in the series, however all of them can be considered perfect games.
Naughty Dog has become one of the best companies for storytelling and making you feel like you are on an adventure, taking a different approach from the charismatic and charming Uncharted series, The Last of Us is set in a bleak future where a viral fungus infection has taken over, there isn’t much to say about this game that would be any different to what anyone else has said, it simply is a must play.
Resident Evil is known as the series what defined the term ” survival horror ” now of course it has become a parody of itself, turning into pretty ridiculous action adventures, but before they were overblown there was Resident Evil 4, a perfect blend of Horror and Action, improved controls and visuals, now of course there are an unbelievable amount of ports of this game, but there’s good reason for that as this is simply one of the best games ever made.
If someone asked me ” what game would you love to experience for the first time again? ” Fallout 3 would always be my choice, originally I played this game not knowing anything about the Fallout series and I ended up playing this game for 2 weeks straight, it’s that good, exploring the post apocalyptic world of Washington DC is one of the most engrossing experiences I’ve ever had, whether it’s exploring the ruins of DC or even a small abandoned town on the outskirts, Fallout 3 is simply always entertaining.
Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy game I’ve ever played and over the years I’ve since played every main game in the series, now of course I don’t see this as the best Final Fantasy game (that would be IV) however as an RPG on it’s own, it was my favorite game ever until 2013, but with the HD remaster out on PS3 and coming to PS4, this game simply needs to be played.
CastleVania: Symphony of The Night
Telltale Games The Walking Dead
No game has ever made me Laugh and Cry as much as Persona 4, the first time I ever played this game was April 2013 for the PS2, immediately after playing, I was hooked, I played this game every day, and every day I grew more and more attached to the characters such as Kanji, Naoto and Yosuke, then in December 2013 I played Persona 4 Golden, and I couldn’t believe that it was actually better and had more content. I should stop here, there isn’t really much to say, if you have a Vita then Buy this game, it’s worth buying a Vita for this game.
Well that’s all folks! So what did you think, do you agree with any of my choices? What are your favorite games?
