Activision announces Spongebob Heropants; Coming March 2015

Today Activision & Nickelodeon have announced plans to release Spongebob Heropants this coming March.

The game which will be a follow up to the upcoming Spongebob Squarepants Sequel; Sponge out of Water (In cinemas March 27th) sees Spongebob’s dreams coming to life and disrupting time and space in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. In order to put back his shattered Cartoon Psyche; Spongebob must team up with his friends as they travel through warped versions of Bikini Bottom based on Spongebob’s mind including levels based around Prehistoric times, A Warzone and A Candy Coated level.

Spongebob Heropants will be a family Action game with focus on Platforming, Puzzle Solving and Combat with each of the 6 playable characters (Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Crabs & Plankton) all having the ability to transform themselves into huge Super Hero style warriors to solve puzzles, unlock new areas and defeat Spongebob’s wacky sense of imagination. In addition to the wacky story, Players will be able to take on numerous boss battles, upgrade their skills and discover loads of hidden goodies in the game aswell as 4 Player local Drop In/Drop Out Co-Op multiplayer exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Spongebob Heropants doesn’t currently have an official set date but is set to launch this March on 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita & PlayStation TV.
