Game Developer; Moon Studios have revealed that Ori & The Blind Forest will be releasing later this year on Xbox One & PC.
In Ori & The Blind Forest; players will assume the role of Ori, A White Guardian Spirit who must brave a dark and eerie forest with peril at every turn. According to the Game Director; Thomas Mahler, The game is inspired by the games of the past as he told website; Polygon. “I grew up playing Super Metroid and I want games like that again,” he said. “I read NeoGAF and constantly read how they want games like this but it’s not being done.”
The demo shown at the Microsoft Press Conference showed Ori interacting with an ancient tree which caused the forest to start flooding. The player then had to control Ori as you make your way up the Forest as fast as possible before the water gets you and really looked like a throwback to the first entry in the Rayman series.
