After months of rumor and speculation; Rockstar finally revealed last night that Grand Theft Auto V is making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC.
During Sony’s big E3 press conference last night; Sony unveiled on Rockstar’s behalf that last years epic sandbox game; Grand Theft Auto V would be making its way to PlayStation 4 with a brand new trailer to show off the in game footage running on the PlayStation 4. It was later confirmed that the game would also be making its way to the Xbox One and the PC.
Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PS4, X1 & PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California. As with the PS3 & X360 versions; You will be able to switch between 3 playable characters in the form of Trevor, Michael & Franklin as they embark on serious heists across Los Santos and Blaine in a huge open world environment full of activities, wildlife, updated weather mechanics and plenty more things to discover.
In addition to this, Grand Theft Auto Online returns in these new versions which allows you to create your own character and rise up through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete jobs for cash which you can then use to purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, Compete in traditional competitive modes such as racing or deathmatch aswell as Creating your own content to play and share with the GTA community. All the new gameplay content created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto V last year including New Jobs, New Weapons, New Vehicles, New Properties and New Player Customization tools will all be coming to the PS4, X1 & PC with loads more DLC to come and in addition to all of this; current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation®4, Xbox One or PC. PC players will also get a video editor designed for advanced movie making.
Grand Theft Auto V launched last year to critical acclaim from critics and fans alike with IGN rating the game 10/10 saying “It is one of the very best video games ever made.” aswell as Time Magazine who gave the game 5/5 stating “You’ve never seen a game world as thoroughly realized…as irresistible to play as it is to admire.”
Grand Theft Auto V is available now on PS3 & X360 and is set to launch later this year on PS4, X1 & PC.
