First Gameplay Footage Emerges for Carmageddon: Reincarnation

As the game gets closer & closer to release; It would seem that the first in-game footage has been revealed for upcoming reboot & kickstarter project; Carmageddon: Reincarnation and it is looking more and more promising by the second. Following in the footsteps of the classic that proceeded it, This is a car game that relies less on finishing the race before your competitors and more on taking the time to run over that poor little old granny across the street for points.

From the way the game currently looks; Carmageddon: Reincarnation is the perfect car game for those who hate cars as it seems that you will be able to destroy a lot of them however there have been concerns over whether running innocent civilians over will feel as brutal as it did back when the original hit in 1997. The trailer from Stainless Games shows an early Alpha incarnation of the game that removes the fears of those thinking the studio wanted to compete with boring racing games with the title looking more like a Twisted sandbox game with Cars with the ability to destroy rather than create. Check out the trailer below.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation is already being played as of this moment by the kickstarter funders since the developer made it available through steam earlier this month while the the rest of us will have to wait until next week when the game will be fully available on steam early access from March 27th.
