It’s Official – South Park: The Stick of Truth has Gone Gold

After years and years of waiting; South Park: The Stick of Truth has finally gone gold thanks to Ubisoft. The game which was originally in development at THQ has seen numerous delays with one of the primary reasons being due to THQ going bankrupt. Ubisoft then bought the rights to publish South Park: The Stick of Truth and was originally set to be released in December 2013 however on Halloween 2013; Ubisoft confirmed that the game once again had to be delayed & that it was now scheduled for launch in early March 2014. The game has actually been delayed on so many occasions that the show actually joked about it in their recent Black Friday trilogy episodes in which the Kids of South Park are dressed in their stick of truth outfits in a Game of Thrones like Parody in Which the boys have a war over whether to buy PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. At the end of the trilogy, Cartman reveals the release details for Stick of Truth to which Butters questions how long it will be before it’s delayed again.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is written by South Park creators Matt Stone & Trey Parker and is being described as the definitive South Park Experience. Arm yourselves with Weapons of Legend to defeat the Underpants Gnomes, Hippies & The other dark forces of Evil and find the missing Stick of Truth to earn your place at the side of Stan, Kyle, Kenny & Cartman as their new friend. Succeed in your quest and you shall be known as South Park’s Savior and cementing your Social Status in South Park Elementary. Fail in your quest and you will be forever known as…The Douchebag.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is set to be released on PS3, X360 & PC on March 4th in North America, March 6th in Australia & March 7th in Europe. It should also be noted for our Australian readers that your version of Stick of Truth has been cut with 3 Mini-Games getting removed including one scene which includes an Anal Probe.
