First Nintendo Direct of 2014 to air Today

Nintendo have recently announced that they will be broadcasting the first Nintendo Direct of 2014 today which will focus on revealing more details on upcoming Wii U & 3DS titles releasing by the end of Spring 2014. The broadcast will be hosted by Nintendo President; Satoru Iwata & Nintendo of Europe President; Satoru Shibata. So far there is only a few games known to be coming soon with the big hitters on Wii U being Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze which launches Next Week & Mario Kart 8 which is set to be released sometime in May so it’s likely we could be getting an exact date.

The big games releasing on 3DS in the next few months are Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney which will serve as a crossover between the Puzzle type gameplay elements of Professor Layton & The Evidence gathering Law Gameplay of the Ace Attorney series. The other big game for the Nintendo 3DS in the coming months is Yoshi’s New Island which is a brand new entry in the Yoshi’s Island series in which Yoshi must take Baby Mario across a dangerous island to save Baby Luigi. Even though this Nintendo Direct will focus on Spring 2014 games, Nintendo will probably reveal more details on other upcoming titles including Super Smash Bros. as they have done in the past.

The Nintendo Direct Broadcast will be aired at 10pm UK Time. If you live in the UK, You can check out the Broadcast here at 10pm or if you live in another country, You can tune in to the broadcast at the equivalent time for your country.
