Last Game you Played – Don’t Starve: Console Edition

So I’ve only just finished my second play through of Lego Marvel Super Heroes and thought I would try something different so I decided to try out Don’t Starve since I got it free with PS+. I have to be truthfully honest in saying I still don’t have the faintest bloody idea of what you need to do in this game. It is essentially like a survival horror version of Minecraft and to be fair; I’m not a big fan of Minecraft but I’m willing to give this another go if I can find out what to do. Anyway if you have a PS4 & PS+, Then be sure to download it before Outlast comes out next month.

Last Movie(s) you Watched – Severance & Rush

This Weekend I’ve been watching too many films but I decided to pick the last 2 films I’ve seen this week. The first film is a British/German Horror/Comedy flick called Severance about a group of employees for a weapons manufacturer who go for a team building exercise at a company lodge however 1 thing leads to another and soon enough the group get picked off 1 by 1 when they are hunted by crazed German war criminals. The film stars Danny Dyer and has a hilarious scene in which they find something rather unexpected in a pie. Check out the trailer below:

The other film I watched this weekend is Rush which recently arrived in the post and to me is one of the best films of last year. The film is based on the true rivalry between Formula 1 legends; James Hunt & Niki Lauda from their early beginnings in Formula 3 all the way to their fierce rivalry in Formula 1 which led to 1 of Formula 1’s darkest moments in history. This film is absolutely phenomenal with outstanding performances from Chris Hemsworth & Daniel Bruhl as Hunt & Lauda respectively with fantastic camera work from well known Movie Director; Ron Howard and I think its an absolute travesty that this film wasn’t nominated for an Oscar. Glad its nominated for 4 Bafta’s though so hopefully Bruhl will at least win 1. Check out this fantastic film and watch the trailer below:

Last TV Show(s) you Watched – Various

This weekend has consisted primarily of TV Shows and since there has been so many I’ll focus on the 6 I have watched today (Sunday). The first show I watched today is a new Golden Globe Winning Series on E4 called Brooklyn Nine Nine starring Andy Samberg as a care free detective who likes to be mischievous with his new boss. The episode saw Paralda (Samberg) getting babysit by his new boss; Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) after arriving to work 3 minutes late. Shortly after, Paralda & Holt are soon looking for a young tagger who’s been spray painting police cars with Penises. Check out a clip below.

The second show I’ve seen today is The Spoils of Babylon. The Show is designed as a parody on period mini series (like Thorn Birds) and stars an all star cast including Tobey Maguire, Kristen Wiig, Tim Robbins, Carey Mulligan, Val Kilmer & Will Ferrell to name a few. The series follows the Morehouse family who start from meager beginnings in the oil fields of Texas to becoming one of the richest families in America. In this episode, Devon (Maguire) goes to war only to crash on a Japanese Island during WWII. After fearing he is dead, His Father, Jonas (Robbins) & His Sister/Lover, Cynthia (Wiig) find out Devon is alive when he returns home only to reveal he is married to Lady Anne York (Mulligan) who also happens to be a Mannequin. Not really sure what to make of this show but I’ll see it through to the end since it is only 6 episodes long. Check out a clip below.

The third show is The Big Bang Theory and this weeks new (& Last) episode (Until April) is a Thanksgiving episode in which the gang decide to go to Howard’s Moms house to spend Thanksgiving so Howard (Simon Helberg) isn’t left alone with his Father in law. Meanwhile, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) finds out Penny (Kaley Cuoco) accidentally got married in Vegas when she was on holiday with her ex-boyfriend & Sheldon (Jim Parsons) compares himself to a slave after being forced to attend the Thanksgiving meal. This episode was hilarious and its good to see that like How I Met Your Mother & Malcolm in the Middle; The Big Bang Theory is still very funny & original 7 Seasons in. check out a clip below.

The fourth show was Russell Howard’s Good News in which comedian; Russell Howard makes comical jokes out of the weeks news stories. The episode was a repeat this week but it’s one I’ve seen before and it was hilarious. The topics Russell covered in the episode included Talking bins in which he made a joke about how they should sound like Brian Blessed, Colonel Gadaffi’s death, Westlife splitting up and more. Russell Howard is one of those comedians that can instantly make me burst into laughter and he is one of the funniest comedians to come out of Britain. If you haven’t seen Russell Howard before. It is highly recommended you do. Check out a clip below.

The fifth show was an old channel 4 comedy called Father Ted which revolves around an irish parochial house run by 3 priests Ted Crilly(Dermot Morgan), A Depressed priest who hates being stuck on Craggy Island; Dougal Maguire (Ardal O’Hanlon), A Young and some what dim witted priest & Father Jack Hackett (Frank Kelly), An Alcoholic Priest who is only sober once in all 3 Seasons. The episode I watched today saw the priests going on holiday to a caravan park where they get into trouble when they continuously stumble across a young couple trying to enjoy a romantic holiday. On top of all this, the most annoying priest they know (Graham Norton) is sharing the caravan with them. Brilliant show and must watch if you haven’t already. Check out the clip below.

Finally, The Last Show I watched today was American Horror Story. I only just started watching this show for the first time today and I’m already 5 episodes in to Season 1. The Show follows a family with troubles moving into a Haunted house where numerous grisly murders happened and the family getting terrorized by Ghosts, Copycat Killers, Mentally unstable people & even a Killer Gimp. The show stars Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton & Jessica Lange to name a few and has a recurring theme of Infidelity. The show also uses music from popular horror movies including Insidious, Psycho & Dracula. This show is brilliant so far and I definitely recommend it for anyone. Check out the clip below.

Last Book or Article you Read – The Highway Code

At the moment, I’m currently learning how to drive so I figured I’d do some catching up on my revision before I went to bed so I’ve just been slowly but surely working my way through my driving theory research.

Last Piece(s) of Music you Listened to – Metallica: Through the Never Soundtrack

Not to long ago, I managed to have a watch of Metallica: Through the Never and I loved every second of it. Ever since, The Soundtrack for the film is pretty much all I can listen to. The soundtrack features all of Metallica’s great songs new and old including Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, One, Fuel, Battery, Cyanide, Master of Puppets & more.
