The game debuted earlier this year on the Xbox One & Xbox 360 and proceeded to impress both Gamers and Critics alike and now the game will be hitting the PC next month aswell as the PS3 & PS4 in August.

Ahead of the games release on PC next month; PopCap confirmed via the Plants vs. Zombies Facebook page the minimum requirements for the PC version which have been set in place and overall they look quite decent; although, just like with other Frostbite 3-powered games, only 64-bit versions of the Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems are supported. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Review

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

Developed by PopCap Games

*Whoever Wins; We laugh*

What is Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare:

PvZ (Plants Vs Zombies) Garden Warfare is an online 3rd person shooter from the same creators who brought you Plants Vs Zombies. This time around the game has changed and its no more Home Defense for crazy dave. no this time is Vanquish And Gardens & Graveyards I will speak more about the game types soon . the game still holds its own towards the old PvZ and I will tell you how if you read on.

The Gameplay:

PvZ Garden Warfare’s Gameplay is a Third Person Based shooter with 4 classes on each team which are listed below:

Zombies Team:

  • The Soldier (Assault Class)
  • The Engineer (Tech Class [Builds Things])
  • The Scientist (Medic)
  • The All Star (Heavy Class)

The Plants Team:

  • Peashooter (Assault Class)
  • Cactus (Sharpshooter)
  • Chomper (Melee Class)
  • Sunflower (Medic)

There is also 2 Gametypes which are also listed below:

  • Gardens & Graveyards (Similar to Rush from the Battlefield Series)
  • Vanquish (TDM [Team Deathmatch])

Each Team has its plus side and its Negative side which makes for a great team based shooter if you play this game as a team you will enjoy it also the gameplay is great and really does compete with other third person shooters. Also PvZ Garden Warfare has a great mode called Garden Ops where you have to defend your garden from 10 waves each 5 waves there is a boss round which random bosses are chosen from Disco Zombie – The Yeti Zombie – Gargantua – Also if 3 of the same bosses are chosen prepare your self for a super boss wave.

The Graphics:

The graphics in this game are great they are bright which is something you need in a game like this everything is perfect the lighting and movement the plants and the zombies look amazing i didnt experience any texture problems any glitches.

My Thoughts:

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare is an amazing game and is one game that should not be missed for any fan of the 3rd person shooter genre also if you are a fan of the original Plants vs Zombies then this game will be great for you although it does not keep in the defense gameplay. The Gardens and graveyards game type is great for the people who enjoyed the classic as this is where you will have to defend your gardens also if you fail to defend all gardens you will have to defend one last thing depending on the level But on one of them you are not aloud to let 5 Zombies into crazy daves mansion otherwise its game over. This is where garden warfare reminded me of the classic PvZ and I was glad that something like this still remained in the game.

My Score – 9/10

The Good:

  • This game can last very long if you want it to
  • Gameplay & Graphics are great
  • Great Servers (Which is good considering the game is only Online)
  • I liked the idea of Sticker Packs which contained customization for your Plants & Zombies aswell as new Plants & Zombies
  • The Game modes are fun
  • Garden Ops can be very challenging and is great fun
  • Great for Team Based Players

The Bad:

  • The Leveling up system can be very annoying

Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare was a great game and can be very time consuming if you want to unlock all the other plants and zombies and also if you want to reach the top rank but the only problem I had with the game was the leveling up system where you had to complete various challenges and a whole level star to rank up. This was a bit annoying esspecially when you got further in and your plants and zombie where level 8 because the challenges became more and more difficult such as kill a certain zombies with only 20 remaining HP But if you can get past this I’m sure you will all enjoy it a lot.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is available from all good retailers now on Xbox 360 & Xbox One.
